The force, which covers Bridlington and further south, say they've reached a total of 282 arrests as a result of Operation Shield, with 94 of those individuals being charged, and 77 remanded.
Police added that when the proactive operation launched over three weeks ago, Chief Constable Paul Anderson said:
“We will be making the lives of criminals very uncomfortable, and our message to those involved in criminality is very clear; your actions will not be tolerated, and we will find you and ensure you are held accountable for your crimes.”
This week, officers have now brought in 107 people for offences ranging from possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, robbery, burglary, and sexual offences.
They’ve also been patrolling hot spot areas and carried out 27 stop and searches, seizing drugs, cash, and weapons from Humberside and East Riding streets.
Roads Policing have been busy too, handing out 11 traffic offence reports which means they’re swooping in on drivers who might be driving without a seatbelt, using their phone, driving dangerously, or working with officers on the ground to hunt suspects involved in organised crime and other serious offences.
Police thanked everyone who has supported them with the operation so far.
They added that if you have anything to report, whether that’s nuisance behaviour in the community, suspected drug dealing or information on a crime that’s been committed, get in touch with them, on 101, or speak to our officers whilst they’re out and about.
