The NHS in the county say Hospitals in Scarborough, Whitby and Bridlington are seeing an increase in patients and have fewer beds than they normally would.
NHS Leaders in North Yorkshire are warning that pressure on the counties hospitals is increasing as we head towards Christmas.
They say the festive period and early January are usually the busiest time of the year for hospitals and with the COVID infection rate in the county trending upwards over the last few days they say we all need to follow the public health guidance to relieve pressure on the NHS.

The seven day COVID infection rate in North Yorkshire is starting to increase again after several weeks of decline.
Yesterday the overall North Yorkshire infection rate climbed from 101 to 108 cases per 100,000 people. The rate in the Scarborough Borough climbed from 175 to 189
Amanda Bloor says that's going to have an impact on the county's hospitals which have fewer beds available than they normally would because of COVID safe working practices.
Ed Smith is a consultant at Scarborough Hospital he also wants the public to follow the Government guidelines to help stop the hospital becoming overwhelmed.
