Police in Scarborough have thanked the public after a fire in the town was brought under control.

Police have issued a statement:
'Following a fire being reported on Queen Street in Scarborough, we assisted North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service with road closures and crowd safety.
'The fire is now out, the road and pavements have been re-opened.
'Thank you for your patience and understanding.'
