Bad weather and strong opposition led to a frustrating Saturday for our Yorkshire Coast cricketers.
Scarborough are only two places and ten points above the Yorkshire Premier North relegation places after a heavy defeat at promotion-chasing Castleford.
After being put in to bat, Boro collapsed from 37/1 to 38/4 and were quickly skittled for just 67. Clarke Doughney's 21 was the only score over 17.
The league leaders then eased to victory with no wickets down in the 17th over.
The rain reduced Driffield Town's clash at Harrogate to a 20-over slog.
Town made 138/3 from 20 overs after choosing to bat first- Sam Drury was 49 not out.
Harrogate reached their target with three wickets down and eight balls to spare- Alec Drury took 2/24.
Folkton & Flixton stay top and Bridlington fifth in YPN Championship East despite their respective matches being washed out.
Pickering remain top of YPN Division One East and Filey third- the sides were due to play each other but rain intervened.
That was also the case for Whitby's scheduled clash, at Marske, they stay bottom of North Yorkshire South Durham Division One.
