Police say they're appealing for information about a theft that occurred near Pickering.
It happened on Friday, 2 August and involved a large amount of tools being stolen from the back of a van.
They're appealing for information about the tools stolen, in an effort to reunite them with their owner.
There are many distinct items, including:
- A long 1/2 inch Snap On rachet, with a twisted metallic blue handle
- 14 x Blue Point spanners (in a set), with grey flecks of paint on them
- Chrome finished Blue Point flexy head rachet spanners, with the writing missing from the 10mm, 12mm and 13mm spanners
- 2x Snap On euro tools, 17mm and 19mm, which are no longer made (they are from the 1970s)
- Blue Point set of imperial spanners in old measurements, which are from America
- A red rubber Snap On hammer, with the end covered in indented lines
- A yellow Dewalt angle grinder with no guard
- 5/6 batteries for Dewalt tools, with 'AS' or 'ADS' painted on the bottom
- A GYS inverted welder, with a broken earth wire
- A black 30 inch Mac top box, with a snap on bag on the front (which has the 1980s snap on logo). The box itself has been spray painted black on the outside but is still the original red colour inside
- Other items stolen includes sheep foot trimmers, a black snap on blow torch, and multiple screw driver and spanner sets
If you have bought these items unwittingly please contact police. Also, if you have been approached by someone who has been selling a large number of tools please contact officers, as it may assist in our investigation.
