Boro won on their travels in the North East on Saturday, earning over £3,000 and securing a vital win in the country's biggest national cup competition.
Jono Greening's men are through to the penultimate qualifying round of the FA Cup after two second half goals at Dunston.
Boro beat the Gateshead side 2-0.
It was another goal-less first half, following back-to-back 0-0 draws of late.
The visitors almost netted just before half-time but the ball was cleared off the goal-line, with a defender's knee after the keeper was beaten.
However, Rio Allan put Boro ahead, 19 minutes from time.
The skilful forward cut onto his left foot and curled into the top left corner of the net from the right-edge of the penalty area.
Mo Fadera, on as a sub for Dom Tear, then made sure with a second, within five minutes.
Allan turned provider, releasing the tricky striker to clip low past the onrushing keeper for 2-0.
Here's how Andrew Snaith saw it on This Is The Coast Extra (with BR Asbestos):
Greening told SAFC TV:
"The first half, we were very poor against the wind, I said to the boys at half-time they looked like a National north side.
"We did a lot better in the second half, we pressed them, we forced them into errors, everything we didn't do in the first half.
"The biggest thing for us is to qualify for the next round."
The Seadogs earned £3,375 as a result and await Monday's third qualifying round draw with interest.
