There has been a substantial landslide at Sewerby steps.
Coastal Services East Yorkshire say the area is cordoned off to keep people away and the Coastal Engineer's contractors will clear the path as soon as it is safe to do so.
Kirsty Salisbury, the council’s General Manager (Coastal), said : “This is all part of the natural erosion process, but the council are looking at ways to minimise the frequency of the steps becoming inaccessible.“Please do not use these steps until the debris has been removed.”
