Whitby Town Football Club is pleased to confirm the appointment of Denny Ingram to its coaching staff, marking a significant addition to the club’s backroom team for the remaining games of the 2025/26 season.
Ingram brings with him a wealth of experience from across the professional and non-league game, following a playing career that spanned more than 20 years. A product of Hartlepool United’s youth system, he made over 200 senior appearances for the club, establishing himself as a dependable and consistent performer in the Football League.
He went on to enjoy a successful non-league career with a number of well-known clubs, including Scarborough FC, Northwich Victoria, Forest Green Rovers and FC Halifax Town, earning a reputation for his versatility, professionalism and leadership on the pitch.
Supporters of Whitby Town will also recognise Ingram from his previous spell with the club during his playing days, giving him a strong connection to both the team and the wider local football community.
Since retiring from playing, Ingram has built an impressive coaching CV. A UEFA B Licence holder with a degree in sport coaching, he has worked across a range of development environments, including academy and scholarship programmes, while also gaining experience in senior football as both a player-assistant manager and first-team coach. His expertise in player development and knowledge of the non-league landscape are expected to play a key role in supporting Whitby Town’s ambitions.
Ingram’s appointment alongside Lee Bullock and Jason Kennedy represents a continued commitment by Whitby Town to strengthen its football operations and build a structure capable of supporting both immediate performance and long-term progression.
Whitby Town looks forward to the impact Ingram will make as part of the coaching staff and extends a warm welcome as he begins his new role with the club.
