Filey Town Council has voted to stop publishing the Filey Town Guide.
The biennial publication included local information, articles and images and has been provided free of charge to tourists since 1994.
The council says the free town map will continue but the guide currently being produced will be the last.
Town Councillor Wendy Fenlon says the finances no longer add up.
The free town map will continue to be produced, but the next edition of the guide, which is near completion, will be the last.
Deputy Mayor - Councillor Linda Randall - says it's been a tough decision to take.
Not everyone was in agreement that the guide should cease, Councillor Gary Howgate says it has been popular with both visitors and local businesses.
Councillor Mike Cockerill says he feels the guide pays for itself.
Councillors voted to cease work on the guide once the next edition is published. The Mayor said that it could be bought back in the future.
