A study looking at reviving Filey's little bus service has concluded that it's not financially viable.
Age UK Coast and Moors and Filey Town Council had been looking at bringing the bus back into service after it's previous operator retired last year.
The actual bus had been secured for the use of the town, but has been parked up since the service stopped running.
Age UK Coast and Moors, had looked into the possibility of taking on the service but Chief Exec - Neil Bradbury - says the numbers just don't add up.
In a report presented to Filey Town Council, Age UK concluded it would need around £50,000 a year of funding for the service to be viable.
The Town Council have been helping to try and find a new operator for the service since it ceased and have been working with North Yorkshire Councillors to look at options.
The previous operator ran the service on a commercial basis.
Filey Town Mayor - Jacqui Holden-Banks - says it's not viable to run a service that would have to be dependant on volunteers.
Age UK Coast and Moors CEO - Neil Bradbury - says they looked a various ways to relaunch the service but struggled to find a model that worked financially.
