Filey Open Day Showcases Town's Oldest Building

Filey Town Council are pleased to announce that the restoration works on the Filey Museum have now been completed.

The Museum Trustees have safely stored all museum artefacts during the project, so before these are returned the council would like to share what they've achieved.

Councillor Karen Hubbard says the building has a long history:

Over the years the building has developed a host of problems from woodworm to crumbling stonework, and as such a number of restorations have taken place, including the installation of under floor heating, replacement lighting and redecoration.

The free Open Day is on Monday between 10am and 2pm- on Queen Street.
