East Riding Council are awaiting the green light from Westminster to enforce a full ban on parking on pavements and grass verges.
There was some uncertainty on this subject as Bridlington councillor Andy Walker sought to clarify:
Carl Skelton, the council's director of Streetscene Services, gave this response:
The authority agreed that to impose a full pavement and grass verge parking ban as soon as reasonably practicable.
They also agreed to make a full review of parking signage throughout the East Riding.
