Scarborough Borough Council have voted unanimously to approve a four-star hotel on the site of a former swimming pool in the town.
It's expected to create 120 new jobs for the town and replaces the old indoor swimming pool on Ryndle Crescent.
Councillor Tony Randerson was also impressed with the level of pay on offer for staff:
The council feel it will complement existing accommodation in the area and also offer certain benefits for local businesses.
