Firefighters in North Yorkshire were facing a perennial problem, in Whitby and Scarborough, on Friday's nightshift.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue were faced with bin fires on the Yorkshire Coast on Friday night into Saturday morning.
They attended a blaze in Whitby they believe to have started accidentally, early Friday evening, just before 6.30pm.
After assisting a female member of the public who had fallen in Snainton, the county's crew then attended reports of a bin fire in Scarborough.
It was around 4.20am and they saw a wheelie bin burning, which was extinguished using a single hose.
