It was the big kick off for Scarborough, Driffield, Bridlington, Whitby and Hornsea's rugby stars on Saturday.
In North East 1, Driffield lost out 26-25 in a thriller at Percy Park, North Shields.
There was disappointment for Scarborough too, who were beaten 41-30 in North East 2 by newcomers Bradford Salem, at Silver Royd.
In Yorkshire 1, Bridlington had a terrific 27-24 win over Beverley at Dukes Park.
Whitby thumped Gosforth 46-10 in Durham & Northumberland Division Three.
In Yorkshire 4 North, Hornsea were also victorious, 36-29 at Knaresborough.
