All three of our major rugby teams- Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington- were left disappointed on Saturday.
Scarborough lost 29-12, to Selby, a Silver Royd, on a disappointing day for our local rugby sides.
Boro head coach Matty Jones spoke to the club's media after the defeat in North East 2:
Bridlington were also beaten, in the same division, at Goole, by 27 points to 12.
Whitby suffered a heavier defeat in Durham & Northumberland Division Two.
They were thumped 57-18 at Houghton.
