However, rain prevented York's reply and the match was abandoned as a draw.
In Premier 2, Bridlington beat Elvington by five wickets.
Sam Wragg and Josh Harvey picked up three scalps each as the visitors were bowled out for 179 inside 41 overs.
Wragg (83) then put on a 122-opening stand with skipper Casey Rudd (42) as Brid got home in just 26 overs.
Scalby beat Scarborough by 57 runs in the sides' Championship East derby.
David Morris top-scored with 94 and Ben Luntley hit 74 as Scalby made 233/9 from 49 overs.
Daniel O'Connor picked up 6/57 and Archie Hammond 3/44 for Boro.
Ben Squires (75) and Callum Armstrong (46) then put on 103 for the first wicket, but no-one else could hit double figures as Scarborough collapsed to 176 all out. Lachlan Cooke impressed with 6/39 for Scalby.
Folkton & Flixton grabbed victory at Hornsea after a terrific batting performance.
Choosing to make first use of the wicket, Brooklyn Manyemba made a superb 101 from just 95 balls. Lewis Chipchase smashed 63 off just 38 as the villagers posted a mammoth 302/9 from their 50 overs.
Adam Newington and Mikey Ineson took three wickets each for Hornsea.
The hosts were then shot out for 166 inside 40 overs.
Marley Ward took 3/34, Connor Stephenson 2/16 and Robert Middlewood 2/21 to set up a 136-run win.
Wykeham beat Brandesburton by 108 runs.
Ali Sabir hit a tremendous 112, with Sam Owen's 45 also helping Wykeham to 242.
Their opponents were bowled out for 134, mainly thanks to James Butler's 4/37.
Driffield Seconds stay top of the pile with a 50-run win over Hull Zingari 2nds.
Ricky Woodmansey fired an expert century, with Jack Oakley adding 52 as Driff posted 250/4.
Oakley's 4/11 then made sure Hull couldn't bat out their innings and were skittled two balls and plenty of runs, short.
In Championship Central, Pickering saw off Pocklington by five wickets.
Kieran Boyes took 4/37 as Pock struggled to 164 all out.
Pickering hit 170/5 from only 33 overs as they got home comfortably.
Malton & Old Malton saw their clash with Dunnington abandoned.
Shaun Harland was unlucky to be caught for 99 with Charlie Allott adding 73 as Malton posted 237/8 from 50 overs.
Dunnington got to 73/1 before the heavens opened.
Whitby were beaten by just one run in an epic clash at Shildon Railway, in North Yorkshire South Durham Division Two.
There were three wickets each for Kai Morris and Jay Allison as Shildon made 162/9 from 50 overs.
Rhys Buck's 52 looked to have got Whitby to victory, they were 140/4 at one stage, but collapsed to 161 all out in a heart-breaking finish.
