The big brands will be told if their packaging is found on the beach.
Local Yoga instructors, Happy Seal Yoga, are running a yoga and beach clean session in Scarborough's South Bay.
They are offering free yoga sessions to people who have signed up for the beach clean, which is using an app to track what litter they find.
Lizzie Carr is from Planet Patrol, the group behind the app.
The litter pickers will photograph the rubbish they find using the Planet Patrol app that data then gets fed back to the brands whose litter they are collecting.

Lizzie says the response they get from companies when they present them with data about where their packaging is ending up has been positive.
The app is available for anyone to use and Lizzie says idea is to get as many people as possible around the country using it in order to build a comprehensive database of litter types and locations.
Lizzie says she came up with the idea for the app after taking up paddle boarding in 2014.
Links to download the app can be found on the Planet patrol website http://planetpatrol.co/download-our-app/
