There has been a positive COVID test in the year 8 bubble.
Eskdale school says it is asking all year 8 students to self isolate as a precautionary measure after a member of the school community tested positive for COVID 19.
Headteacher Andy Fyfe posted the latest information on the school website.
I am posting to inform you that today we have been made aware of a member of our school community who has tested positive for COVID 19. The school are following specific guidance from the Department for Education (DfE) and in line with this, we have identified students who have been a close contact with the positive case.
As a precaution we are asking all year 8 students to self-isolate until Tuesday 20th October 2020. Students in all other years should attend school as normal.
I understand that you may be concerned but we are continuing to monitor the situation and will continue to work closely with Public Health England. This post is to inform you of the current situation.
All parents/carers will receive a letter via email. The school remains open for those not in the identified bubble and those students should continue to attend as normal if they remain well.
Please contact me if you have any further concerns.
Many thanks, Andy Fyfe
