Scarborough Police are appealing for the owner of items found in suspicious circumstances to come forward.
Police say that in the early our of Sunday, between 0000 hours and 0030 hours (Sunday 20th December 2020), a male was found in possession of a number of items believed stolen from either a burglary or a vehicle and was arrested.
The items included several World War artefacts among other items, some of which will be very sentimental to their owner.
Police are requesting home-owners in and around the Hovingham Drive area to check their garages, outhouses and properties.
Police are also appealing for anyone who was in the Hovingham Drive area of Scarborough between 2330 and 0030 hours who may have had a dash cam, or anyone who has CCTV covering their properties to please review their cameras.
