As the vaccine roll out is due to start in North Yorkshire next week the NHS explain some of the arrangements.
Seven sites across the county will be used to administer the vaccine.
Initially it will be just for high risk groups like people over 80, care home staff and some front line health workers.
Eventually the number of sites delivering the vaccinations will be increased to include local community venues but those leading the roll out say that will take months not weeks.
Amanda Bloor from the NHS in North Yorkshire says most vaccinations will take place next year rather than before Christmas.
Amanda says people who are due the vaccine will be contacted directly by the NHS and that we should NOT call local GP surgeries or hospitals about the vaccination programme.
