The Blues announced their first new signing of the summer on This is the Coast then added another by the end of the day.
The Seasiders, represented by committee member Paul Connolly, announced the news live on This is the Coast, that Jacob Gratton, an attacking midfielder, had signed from Belper Town.
Gratton starred for the Derbyshire club, who finished bottom of the NPL Premier, against the Blues, and Whitby chief Nathan Haslam admitted he'd kept tabs on the former Rotherham United star.

The club, who have had a positive response to their early bird season ticket offer on their website, then announced the return of Joe Wheatley, who had a loan spell from National North Spennymoor Town in February:
