Whitby Town Return To League Action

The Blues travel to Lincolnshire tonight as they target a return to winning ways.

Whitby Town visit Gainsborough Trinity on Tuesday night as they return to NPL Premier action.

Blues player-boss Gary Liddle says they'll have to assess numbers head of the trip:

" Yeah, we'll have to round up at the injured lads first and foremost and see who's actually available. And yeah, we'll go, we'll have a, we've had a content with the start. We've had in the league, we're in mid table where we've only lost a couple of games. We've won a couple of games, so we're right in there.

"And it's a really tight league as, no, we won't let this result distract us too much. Of course, we're disappointed in today, but it, we won't let it detract from the decent start we've had in the league so far."

Liddle will be without midfielders Lewis Hawkins and Layton Watts who are targeting a return by the end of the month.

Speaking at full-time on Saturday, the Whitby chief says his side won't let their FA Cup exit get them down:

"We'll hope to take the recent league form into Gainsborough, which is obviously going to be a tough game. It's always a tough game at Gainsborough and they've had a good result today in the FA Cup so they'll be buoyed by that. I have confidence from that. But you know how this league is, everyone beats everyone in this league and we'll be hoping to go there and cause Gainsborough some problems."

Kick-off is 7.45pm with live commentary on This Is The Coast Extra.
