The Seasiders are worryingly close to the NPL Premier's drop zone.
Gary Liddle's men are just two points clear off fourth-bottom Bamber Bridge going into Saturday's home clash.
Morpeth Town visit the Towbar Express Stadium with Whitby having suffered back to back defeats for the first time under Liddle.
We told you that player-boss Liddle, who would make his 800th senior appearance if he plays on Saturday, had signed a new contract to keep him at the Blues' helm until the end of next season.
On Thursday, the club confirmed Liddle's assistant, Jason Kennedy, has also committed to WTFC until the end of 2025/26 season.
Kennedy said:
“I’m delighted to extend my stay at Whitby town and grateful for the opportunity given by Ivor and the board to help Gary take the club into 2025/26 season.
“I’ve loved working with the staff and players since joining the club.
“The support from fans and everyone at the club has been brilliant and will be needed for the remainder of the season.
“We know there’s a lot of work to still be done this season, with the aim to progress and excite heading into the following season.”
Kick off on Saturday is 3.00pm.
