Liddle made nine changes for the cup clash, but would have still expected Town, who were the competition's holders, to progress against a side four levels below them.

The youngster is expected to miss out on Saturday with a wrist injury.
But defender Louis Stephenson will feature after joining on loan from Hartlepool United on Saturday morning.
