Whitby Town Face Big Home Double

Whitby Town are at home twice in huge encounters for the club starting with local rivals Marske United tonight.

The Blues welcome a Marske side who are bottom of the NPL Premier and have lost all four of their away trips in the league so far.

Though Town manager, a former Marske chief, doesn't necessarily think his former side will look to sit back and defend:

Whitby have struggled at home, in the league, this season with the opening day win over Atherton Colls followed by three straight defeats to Worksop, Ashton and Warrington Rylands.

The Seasiders did however beat Prescot Cables, at the Towbar Express Stadium, in the FA Cup.

They followed that up with a 1-1 draw at FC United of Manchester on Saturday.

Speaking after that game, Haslam says the players will mostly be resting ahead of tonight's derby:

The Blues host Morpeth Town in the third qualifying round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
