For the second time during pre-season, the Blues have beaten higher-level opponents.
This time, Nathan Haslam's men won 2-1 at Blyth Spartans of National North on Friday night.
They had previously beaten South Shields, of the same division, by the same score.
Centre-half Harrison Beeden, who has a knack of popping up with goals for the Seasiders, put them ahead around the half hour.
However, the Northumberland hosts levelled within six minutes.
Midfielder Adam Gell then netted the winner, for Whitby, in the second half.
Town manager Nathan Haslam told Whitby Town TV his side weren't at their best despite the victory:
The Blues end their friendly campaign next Saturday (5th August) with a home clash against Stockton Town of NPL East.
Town host Atherton Collieries in NPL Premier the week after.
