The Blues haven't played since the 16th September, but are on their travels near Sheffield on Saturday.
Town visit Stocksbridge Park Steels in NPL Premier.
Gary Liddle's men haven't played since the trip to Gainsborough Trinity on 16th September.
Whitby and Steels drew 0-0 at The Towbar Express Stadium in their second match of the season.
The match has been brought forward from December.
Midfielder Layton Watts has been injured for over a month since pulling a muscle in training.
He spoke to Whitby Town TV about his recovery:
"[I] trained on Tuesday, felt strong. To be honest. It's been about six weeks now nearly. And frustrating really. But I had to take the time out just to get fixed really. Otherwise, I don't know what would've happened. And yeah, I've took the time out just to try and get as physically strong as I can and staying fit as well whilst I've done that."
Watts revealed he actually first injured himself in the summer:
"It happened against Blyth in the second-last game of pre-season. So I missed Stockton game obviously and then played the first four. But from obviously Blyth, I've felt this and then it kind of got worse. And with training on the Thursday, literally the first pass I made in the session, I just felt it straight away.
"It was kind of the sign to like need to do something about it realistically, obviously get some rehab into it and get it stronger before I try and play again. So that's what I've done. I'm feeling good at the moment, so hopefully it continues."
