The bridge will be closed overnight tonight and tomorrow.
Whitby Swing bridge is to be closed to road traffic tonight & tomorrow night from 6pm to 6am.
North Yorkshire County Council say it's to enable preparatory work to replace the cover & frames on the bridge, with the replacement to be completed later this year.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
