Charter Boat skippers in Whitby say recent changes to car parking in the harbour area are impacting on their businesses.
With the closure of the swing bridge at weekend's, a turning roundabout has been installed on Church street which combined with the moving of some permit parking has reduced the number of spaces available in the area that anglers can use.
Councillor David Chance says the local skippers are not happy.
Part of the problem for the charter vessels is that many of their clients are sea anglers who come to the town with bulk and heavy fishing kit.
Councillor Glenn Goodberry says he's had a lot of feedback from local skippers saying that their clients are finding it difficult to park close enough to the harbour to get their kit to the boats
