Whitby Home Hoodoo Strikes Again

Whitby Town have lost three of their four home matches this season after a 3-1 reverse at the Towbar Express Stadium, on Saturday.

Manager Nathan Haslam was honest in his assessment blaming individual mistakes for the loss to promotion-chasing Warrington Rylands.

The Blues fell behind inside two minutes but battled back early in the second half when left-back Coleby Shepherd drilled through a group of players for 1-1.

Town were gutted to see a goal denied in-between when they felt the ball had crossed the line from Jerome Greaves touch on Aaron Haswell's free-kick.

They struck the post through Danny Rowe but breakaway goals 15 minutes from time and right at the end won it for the Cheshire visitors.

Haslam told Whitby Town TV things must improve at the back and when things don't go the Blues' way:

The Seasiders are back at the Towbar Express Stadium next Saturday when Prescot Cables visit in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round.
