October's edition of the Whitby Goth Weekend has been cancelled.
Organisers of the Goth Weekend had cancelled April's event as lockdown hit the country and had hoped to be able to return to the town for the event at the end of October.
But with a recent spate of positive COVID tests in the Whitby area leading a number of local business to take proactive measures to temporarily close and deep clean the Goth Weekend organisers have taken the decision to cal off the October event.

The pandemic shifts situations so rapidly that whilst we were sending out our plans the conditions in Whitby changed.
Sorry for getting your hopes up, we want to see you all, but our first concern is everyone's safety 🖤
The event is expected to return next year with provisional dates set for April and October 2021.
