Communities along the Yorkshire Coast are marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day, on Saturday, with special events including a concert in Scarborough and a vintage fair and evening celebration in East Ayton.
On Saturday at the Hub, at the Summit, on St Nicholas Street, Scarborough, there are narrated war-time stories from 80 years ago.
Scarborough Sea Cadets will read aloud thrilling adventures of lucky escapes and celebrations, together with narrator Nick Taylor.
There's a singalong, with the Scarborough Wellbeing Choir and Scarborough Concert Band.
The Cadets' corps of drums will close the event in a 'sunset ceremony'.

There's also a full programme of VE Day events with the Jubilee Fair in East Ayton.
People are encouraged to dress in 1940s clothing.
