A Scarborough business has partnered with York and Scarborough Hospitals Charity to collect toys for children spending the holidays in hospital.
Chris Moore from Wolseley Plumb Centre on Barry's Lane had the idea and quickly set the initiative in motion.
The appeal asks for donations of brand new toys. Gently used toys that can be easily sanitized are also welcome. There is no firm deadline for donations, but the goal is to deliver the toys before Christmas.
"We just want to do a bit for the community," Chris explained, emphasising their desire to spread generosity during the holiday season.
The company is considering making this an ongoing initiative and participating in other local events like Macmillan coffee mornings.
People interested in donating can drop off unwrapped toys at Wolseley Plumb Centre, located on Barry's Lane opposite Boro Tyres.
The company's full address is Wolseley Plumb Centre, Barrys Lane, Scarborough, YO12 4HA.
The company is actively promoting the toy drive through social media and encourages others to help spread the word. There are More details on their Facebook page.
