It happened at Goldsborough late on Saturday night.
Firefighters from Lythe, Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby responded to a report of a barn fire just before midnight on Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Crews located the fire in a barn measuring 40 by 70 metres, containing a combine harvester and a telehandler.
Officers extinguished the fire and dampened down remaining hot spots.
There are no reports of any casualties.
