Young people on the Yorkshire Coast have been benefiting from Surf Therapy this summer.
Surfboards are being used to help youngsters de-stress and gain confidence as part of surf therapy sessions taking place on the Yorkshire Coast this summer.
The sessions are run by The Wave project which takes referrals from local schools, and health professionals and aims to help youngsters gain confidence and resilience.
Matt Jones from the project says after being cooped up during lockdown surf therapy is proving to be a welcome relief for those taking part.
The sessions run by the wave project enable local schools and medical professions to refer young people to the service for some beneficial outdoor time.
Matt Jones says there are many reasons that youngsters might be referred to the scheme.
