Drivers across the Whitby area are being encouraged to keep safe this winter
As the winter months draw in, Police in Whitby have sent letters to some drivers in the town highlighting the dangers of winter road conditions.
The letters have been sent to some drivers who have previously received warnings in respect of their driving.
In an update to local councillors officers said the idea is to draw attention to winter dangers.
Ffficers said they are hoping to reduce accidents and increase safety during the winter months.
