The parish council is looking to recruit a "Village Co-ordinator" to help develop community regeneration projects.
Hunmanby Parish Council has secured further funding from the Shared Prosperity Fund to continue on the Shaping Hunmanby's Future project.
The SPF funding has been allocated to the parish by North Yorkshire Council.
The Parish Council is using the funding to recruit a village co-ordinator to continue the development of community led regeneration and sustainability projects and/or initiatives – started through the “Shaping Hunmanby’s Future” (SHF) working group, along with wider initiatives moving forward.
The Parish Council says that the Village Co-ordinator will
"work within the community of Hunmanby, ensuring they are placed at the heart of the local Parish Council’s ongoing and future regeneration aspirations.
This role involves assisting the Shaping Hunmanby’s Future Partnership, who will oversee the project and bring together residents, community groups & organisations, along with other partners in a collaborative and co-productive approach to support the village. "
The role will be for a one year fixed term contract of 16 hours a week and the deadline for applications is midday on March 22nd.
Local Councillor Michelle Donohue-Moncrieff said:
"We are in a new era with North Yorkshire Council and it is vitally important that Hunmanby is not forgotten in the coming years.
Taking part in the Shared Prosperity Fund projects is one step on what will be a long journey."
