Police say there is a prohibition of driving on Bell Close in Seamer between the hours of 8.15am and 9am and 3pm-3.45pm on school days.
The below are the exceptions from the Order:
(a) A vehicle being used in the course of an emergency by emergency services vehicles;
(b) To enable the vehicle (if it cannot reasonably be used for the same purpose in any other road) to be used in connection with any of the following operations in an emergency; building works; the removal of any obstruction to traffic; the maintenance, improvement or reconstruction of the road; the laying, erection, alteration or repair in or adjacent to the road by an undertaker of any sewer or of any main, pipe or apparatus for the supply of gas, water or electricity or any telecommunications apparatus;
(c) Healthcare and care workers' vehicles providing support to residents of Bell Close premises
(d) Residents' vehicles registered at Bell Close numbers 1 — 43, which are displaying a valid permit containing a hologram which states iSSSICP';
(e) A vehicle being used by Seamer and Irton staff working at Seamer and Irton Community Primary School displaying a valid permit as at clause 1(d) of this Order;
'This policy is in place to ensure the safety of the children during the busy drop off and pick up periods. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone.'
