A new Scarborough food hall aiming to become the area’s ‘go-to foodie destination’ has applied for an alcohol licence from the council.
Wilson’s Food Hall, which will incorporate local artisan businesses in one unit, has applied for a premises licence from North Yorkshire Council.
Located on Seamer’s Main Street, the food hall is set to open next month and will be a “proudly independent and local” operation bringing together various food and drink businesses from the region.
If the application is approved, the sale of alcohol would be allowed at the food hall from 10am to 10pm, seven days a week.
The playing of live and recorded music would also be allowed from Monday to Sunday, between 10am and 10pm.
Wilson’s Food Hall has said that its offering will include an “extensive wine collection and wine bar, bakery, charcuterie, ice cream, and retail.”
Recently, it also said it was hiring for a number of full and part-time positions, including assistant manager roles, general and weekend operative roles, sommeliers, and baristas.
On social media, the business has said that “Wilson’s is soon to become the go-to foodie destination in Seamer, Scarborough”.
The licence application is currently open to representations from members of the public and these can be sent to the council until Monday, October 28.
