North Yorkshire Police say that part of Marine Drive in Scarborough is currently closed due to a serious collision.
Emergency services are currently at the scene, just north of Luna Park.
The Air Ambulance has been seen in the area.
Police say both directions will remain closed until the incident has been dealt with and drivers are urged to avoid the area.
