Scarborough Squash Club are doing a 12-hour marathon game open to all to raise money for the Veterans Foundation.
Junior squash Academy players and club members are playing, with members of the public also welcome to take part.
The event is taking place between 6 am and 6 pm on Saturday and the club's parent organisations (Scarborough RUFC and Barons Fitness), will be hosting and promoting the event.
It will be a fun day with lots of squash and competitions on the day.
The club's Head Coach, Lew Marsden, explained why they chose the Veterans' charity:
" I've been a member of the Veterans Foundation myself for, well, practically since I left the military. I was a 22-year veteran myself, between 1980 and 2003. We usually do some sort of charity event every year to raise some funds and the veterans really get a bad deal when they leave the military. A lot of them struggle to integrate, they have all sorts of mental and physical problems and you know, so a lot of them end up on the streets and in all sorts of trouble.
"We've already got a lot of donations coming in and our junior academy's been doing fundraising themselves. We gave them some forms to go out and speak to their families and friends and it's incredible the amount of money they've raised.
"We are hoping for a great turnout and many spectators and participants."
There will be collection points on the day, and donations can be made to this truly worthwhile charity online.

Lew says all are welcome to take part in the marathon and added that the Yorkshire Coast has a special affinity to the forces:
" Yeah, we have Armed Forces Day in Scarborough- it's a huge thing. It's something that we take very seriously here. We invited people from other clubs to come and spend the day so they can come in from six o'clock in the morning.
"We offered it to the public, our junior academy are all getting involved. We've got them from as young as about five years old. So they're getting up right early in the morning, which has given them a bit of a thrill. The fact that they can come in and play squash at six in the morning.
"I don't think their parents are very pleased about them getting up at that time. But they were very keen to do it. All of our club members, the rugby club where we're actually attached to, Scarborough Rugby Club, they've been invited and we'll see lots of them on the day."
