A swim instructor from Scarborough has been left frustrated by the closure of a hotel in the town whose pool she was leasing to teach in.
Lindsey Prior-McKie said while she knew the hotel was up for sale, she received a text message on Sunday night confirming The Green Gables hotel facility had been sold.
The venue is based on West Bank, near Falsgrave Park. Lindsey had used venues at Filey and Bramcote School in Scarborough, before they were closed.
She was told she had until Wednesday to pick up her swim equipment.
Lindsey says it's the latest in a series of disappointments that have seen local facilities sold off or closing down:
She says it will cost her company money, but worse, it's a loss of another place to swim in the area:
Lindsey is facing having to refund her scheduled bookings.
