Staff from Scarborough Sea Life were involved in a Seal Rescue at the weekend.
The team from Scarborough SEA LIFE popped down to north bay after members of the public reported a seal caught in a net.
Scarborough SEA LIFE Sanctuary is home to Yorkshire's only Seal Hospital so has staff that are familiar with helping the marine mamals.
The team rescue over 30 injured seal pups from local coastal waters each year and often take them to their Seal Hospital to undergo a rehabilitation programme.
However on this occasion once untabgled from the net the seal headed back out to sea.
The Sea Life Team said:
"Thank you to the members of public that call in. The seal is now safely exploring the UK again. "
