A Scarborough charity group with be giving away free school uniform on Sunday at a local church.
Since 2021, Scarborough Uniform Recycle has been collecting and giving away free school uniforms. Nearly 2000 children have received uniform in that time and the group say they look forward to continuing this work, with the aim of helping families during challenging financial times as well as helping the environment and diverting clothing from landfill.
The next giveaway event will take place on Sunday from 4pm - 6pm at Westborough Methodist Church (opposite the train station). As always, all items are completely free and everyone is welcome.
Sainsburys in Scarborough have had a collection bin for uniform, with everything from shoes to shirts, for all ages, from nursery to secondary, available.
