Grassroots rugby is in the spotlight, as eight community teams get the once in a lifetime chance to play on the famous turf, as part of a Twickenham Takeover day.
And the Women that play for Scarborough Rugby Union will be there today.
Harriet Etchells who plays scrum half for the Scarborough team, started playing at 18, and agrees that the women's game is increasing in popularity and opportunity.
The matches will be streamed by England Rugby YouTube and covered live on England Rugby social media - with plenty of famous faces in attendance, including current and former internationals.
Scarborough RUFC’s women’s rugby team were chosen for this special treatment as part of the RFU’s Play Together Stay Together campaign, which aims to help rugby clubs to gain and retain players. They have been working hard to help age grade players transition to adult rugby at their club over the last few seasons, gaining players by bringing people together on and off the pitch. The day will be a celebration of this great effort.
Whilst looking forward to the day, Harriet is getting a little nervous.
Harriet is also happy that the opportunity to break into the professional game is becoming more common.
Unfortunately, spectators are not allowed, as the day is by invitation only.
