Scarborough Riders On Their Bikes for RNLI & Samaritans

A charity bike ride organised by The Leeds Arms in Scarborough has raised vital funds for Scarborough RNLI and Scarborough Samaritans, as well as other charities.

The 97km cycle route runs from Acaster Malbis and finishes at Scarborough Lifeboat Station and was ridden by the Malbis Marauders, a cycling group based in Acaster Malbis.

The cyclists arrived at Scarborough Lifeboat Station at around 3pm on Saturday and were welcomed by members of the RNLI volunteer crew.

The crew of Scarborough Lifeboat Station extended a very warm thank you to Tony and Sarah from the Leeds Arms, the cyclists of the Malbis Marauders, and everyone else involved for what they called 'their tremendous efforts and generosity in raising money for Scarborough Lifeboat Station'.

The vital funds raised during the event will go towards essential equipment and training in order for Scarborough Lifeboat Station to continue saving lives at sea for years to come.
