Scarborough Police are in the middle of a "Proactive Fortnight" campaign which has seen high visibility operations in the borough this week including drug raids and a focus on countering driving offences.
Senior Operational Commander of Scarborough and Ryedale Police, Superintendent Andrea Kell says the focus this weekend is shifting to the area's nightlife:
Policing teams across the Borough of Scarborough and Ryedale have started the two-week operation to target county lines drug dealers, those involved in cross-border and rural crime, dangerous drivers and increasing the safety of women and girls on nights out.
