Scarborough's traditional pancake day races took place today over an obstacle course on Aberdeen Walk
Scarborough Town Centre was alive to the sound of flipping pancakes today as a dozen teams took part in the annual pancake day races.
The teams competed in heats, racing along an obstacle course designed by Everyone Active while flipping pancakes and wearing fancy dress.

Points were awarded for speed, style and how much pancake made it back to the finish line.
After several rounds of racing the final came down to a tough battle between McDonalds Town Centre and North Yorkshire Water Park.

Paddy spoke to Jack and Abbie from the victorious North Yorkshire Water Park team.
The pancake racing took place on Aberdeen walk in an event organised by North Yorkshire Council and began after the Charter Mayor of Scarborough rang the traditional pancake day bell at midday.
