Their collection of essential supplies is on it's way to help Ukrainian refugees.
The team at Scarborough Hospital rallied round last week to collect essential supplies to help people displaced by the war in Ukraine.
When news of a collection by colleagues at Humber trust to support the people of Ukraine reached staff at Scarborough Hospital they leapt into action.
There was a very small window to communicate with colleagues and collect items but organisers of the collection say the response was amazing, with lots of donations of nappies, toothbrushes and toothpaste, sanitary products, blankets, sleeping bags, dressings, pain killers, socks, shower gel and wipes
Staff pulled the collection together over just two days last week and managed to get everything over to Malton Hospital in time for it to be dropped off in York to join the convoy of lorries that set off for Ukraine on Saturday.
